Readiness, Response, and Resilience

Healthcare emergencies don’t announce themselves. Whether it’s workplace violence, cyber threats, natural disasters, staffing crises, or system failures, the unexpected can and does happen. While it’s easy to believe “that will never happen to us,” experience shows otherwise.

This summit is designed to move Medical Staff Professionals from awareness to readiness by highlighting real-world scenarios and practical strategies that demonstrate the critical, yet often underrecognized, role MSPs play in emergency management. From preparedness and response to recovery and continuity, MSPs are essential partners in protecting patients, providers, and organizations.

These sessions are not intended to alarm, but to educate, empower, and prepare. Through real examples and expert insight, presenters will illustrate how MSPs support emergency response, operational continuity, and patient safety when it matters most. We are more integral to emergency preparedness than we often realize, and readiness is not optional. It is part of who we are as Medical Staff Professionals.
