Dear MAMSS Members & Guests,

 Mark your calendars – we are excited to announce our upcoming Spring Conference, scheduled for Friday, May 2nd, 2025 (7 AM - 5 PM) and Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 (7 AM - 1 PM) at the Rocky Gap Casino and Resort’s Alleghany Conference Room in Western Maryland! Our theme for this year’s conference is: MSPs Never Gamble on Patient Safety!

This year’s conference promises to be an engaging and informative event with a wide range of topics and expert speakers. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect, final agenda to follow later:

Thursday evening, May 1st, 2025, Lakeside Grill Private dinning Area; estimated from 6 – 8 pm!

We’re thrilled to announce the MAMSS Membership Committee will be hosting a Social Hour Mixer. We'll be playing trivia, and Bingo if time allows. Small prizes will be given out.  Appetizers and one adult beverage will be provided to those who attend. Our members and guests will have the option of purchasing on their own, dinner and/or more beverages as the night continues. Please make sure you register (separate registration from our conference) for a headcount. This will be a great opportunity to network and unwind with your colleagues before the conference begins.

 Friday, May 2nd, 2025 –7am – 5pm- Alleghany Conference Room:

• Presentations from state and federal agents, including the MD Board of Physicians, MD Healthcare Connection, OIG, MedChi representatives for the MD Physician Health Programs, and the Maryland Hospital Association.
• Topics will include:

• Current and future state and federal initiatives
• Cybersecurity and trending scams in healthcare
• Legislative updates impacting physician credentialing and privileging.
• MD Physician Health Programs
• Mental and physical health and wellness for MSPs, with tips from a Nurse Practitioner on avoiding burnout.

Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 – 7am – 1pm - Alleghany Conference Room:

A session on Provider Enrollment, covering:

• Commonalities and distinctions between credentialing and provider enrollment
• Government and managed care enrollment
• Delegation of responsibilities and the importance of both areas to healthcare entities and patients

• Presentations from the Maryland Healthcare Education Institute on:

• Crucial conversations, managing imposter syndrome, and bridging the workforce aging gap.

• We will conclude the conference with a moderated roundtable during lunch, where we’ll share tips and tricks for navigating the MSP world.

Pricing:

• MAMSS Members: Free – Conference registration is free for all currently registered MAMSS members.
• Guests who wish to join MAMSS: $75 – Includes membership and conference access.
• Guests who do not wish to join MAMSS: $150 – Conference access without membership.

CE Credits: We are in the process of submitting for CE credits through NAMSS for participants who attend both conference days. Once the credits are awarded, we will send out confirmation.
